The Coosa Valley Model Railroad Club has a great N Scale layout that measures 22 feet by 12 feet.  It is completely portable and is displayed at numerous model train shows throughout the year.  All of the modules have been recently refurbished with new track be laid, new scenery added and older scenery updated, and newer modules (not shown) of a staging yard and steel mill being in the process of construction.

The N Scale layout was recently displayed at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's 2011 Train Fest held in early September in Chattanooga.  The following pictures of the layout were taken at this event.

A view of the two main line loops toward the outside edge
of the layout and the branch line (inner loop).  The power
plant is in the background with a main highway on the
layout's outer edge.

Downtown

Another view of downtown.

More of an "urban" area - as urban as many Alabama towns might get.

Industry and businesses.

More industry and the local school.

Our newest scene - the local baseball field - thanks to our member and expert N scaler, Jerry DeBene!

The pulpwood yard - a typical Alabama industry!

Gadsden is at the southern end of the Appalachian Mountains, so here is our rural country scenery.  Members Jim Bertch and Charles Sitz are probably sitting in a blind on the top of the mountain hoping to bag at least one of the deer!

Watch for future pictures of the steel mill and staging yard modules currently under construction!
